If you want to transition just as quickly, here are ten vehicles that will soon be on the market.<\/p>\n

1 \u2014 Fiat 500e<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Fiat 500e<\/a>\u00a0was unveiled to the media last March, which means its arrival in dealerships is imminent. The model, which will offer 240 km of autonomy, is intended primarily for urban use but still has enough range for you to get out of town occasionally. The 500 is well known in Canada, but not always for the right reasons. Its switch to electric power could give it a second wind. At just under $40,000, it\u2019s the most affordable electric model in Canada at the time of writing.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2 \u2014 Honda Prologue<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The Honda\u00a0Prologue<\/a>, Honda\u2019s first all-electric vehicle, hits dealerships this spring. It is offered in three configurations: EX, EX-L and Touring. The first two qualify for government rebates, but not the third. Only one configuration is offered, with 288 hp and a range of 452 km.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3 \u2014 Acura ZDX<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The\u00a0ZDX<\/a>\u00a0SUV is the luxurious version of Honda\u2019s Prologue.\u00a0\u00a0Apart from the design and interior layout, the difference is that two versions of the ZDX will be offered (A-Spec and Type S), the second of which will be more\u00a0powerful\u00a0at around 500 hp.\u00a0The range also jumps to 489 km.\u00a0The\u00a0Honda Prologue and the Acura ZDX result from collaborating with General Motors and its Ultium platform.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

4 \u2014 Chevrolet Equinox EV<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

After what seemed like an interminable wait, the first road tests of the Chevrolet\u00a0Equinox EV<\/a>\u00a0are scheduled for May.\u00a0It\u00a0means\u00a0the\u00a0model is about to hit dealerships, which is excellent news for those looking for a more affordable electric model. However, we\u2019ll have to be patient before we get our hands on the most affordable version of the model, as we\u2019re likely to be offered a more equipped and powerful model at the\u00a0outset\u00a0unless Chevrolet changes its mind on that score. We\u2019ll be talking about this model again very soon.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

5 \u2014 Chevrolet Silverado EV<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s another one that will soon be on the road, as the first tests of the first versions are also scheduled at the same time as those of the Chevrolet Equinox EV. Chevrolet recently confirmed the prices of the initially offered\u00a0two variants<\/a>: around $74,000 for the WT\u00a0model\u00a0and some $117,000 for the RST variant.\u00a0The range\u00a0will be 724 and 708\u00a0kilometres, respectively.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

6 \u2014 GMC Sierra EV<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Not too surprisingly, GMC\u2019s twin electric pickup, the\u00a0Sierra EV<\/a>, will also be making its debut shortly. This means\u00a0that General Motors will bring two electric pickups to consumers\u00a0in a segment starting to come alive with competitors like the Ford F-150 Lightning, the Tesla Cybertruck, and the Rivian R1T.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

7 \u2014 Jeep Recon<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Mystery still hangs over the\u00a0Recon<\/a>,\u00a0the all-electric proposition Jeep will bring us\u00a0this year. We saw the model unveiled two years ago, but news has been sparse since then.\u00a0We can expect undeniable off-road skills\u00a0from this model, which could see its doors and roof removed for off-road expeditions.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0a Jeep, after all.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

8 \u2014 Mini Cooper<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Mini<\/a>\u00a0range is changing significantly this year, with the debut of two electric models. We\u2019ve already had an electric Cooper, but the company is back with an improved version. Several details remain to be confirmed concerning the latter, as two versions have been announced for other markets, but it could well be that we get just one, the one offering the most range. The European version is rated at 402 km on the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure) cycle, which is around 20% to 25% more generous than the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) cycle we use in North America.\u00a0We can, therefore, expect a range of around 325 km. What we can be sure of is driving pleasure.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

9 \u2014 Mini Countryman<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This year, an electric version of the\u00a0Countryman<\/a>\u00a0will also be available for those who find space too tight in a Mini. Many details are still to be announced, but the range is\u00a0433 km on the WLTP cycle, which could mean 350 km here. The model is expected to arrive in autumn.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

10 \u2014 Porsche Macan EV<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Finally, Porsche\u2019s second electric product, the\u00a0Macan EV<\/a>,\u00a0will\u00a0soon reach its first buyers. It will make its debut here before the end of the year.\u00a0Porsche is reserving two versions for consumers: a base model (Macan 4)\u00a0and a top-of-the-range variant (Macan Turbo)\u00a0to meet different needs.\u00a0In the case of the more powerful model, we\u2019re talking about 630 hp for incredible performance. With the base version, you\u2019ll have to make do with 402 horsepower.<\/p>\n

These 10 beautiful electric models will soon be on our roads, and we can\u2019t wait to see them! We\u2019d like to take this opportunity to remind you that the Roulez Vert government program will end in 2027, which means you still have a little time to take advantage of all the incentives currently in place. We\u2019re also pleased that our favorite subsidy, the\u00a0$600 grant for home charging stations<\/a>, is not affected by the announcement made by the Quebec government in the last budget.<\/p>\n
