Subsidies for condos and housing

Are you the owner or tenant of a condo or apartment building and want to install charging stations? If so, you are eligible for financial assistance for the purchase, rental, and installation of one or more 240-volt charging stations for condos or apartments.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE MAY COVER:

• 50% of eligible expenses
• $5,000 per charging station
• $5,000 per connector (for a station equipped with one or more connectors)
• Annually, an eligible building can receive financial assistance of up to:
  • $20,000 for a building with 3 to 9 dwellings;
  • $40,000 for a building with 10 to 19 dwellings;
  • $49,000 for a building with 20 or more dwellings.

Financial assistance is also available for the rental of charging stations:

• $500 per charging station
• $500 per connector (for a station equipped with one or more connectors)
• 50% of the costs associated with their installation

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for this program, charging stations must be new and powered by 240 volts. Only one charging station per vehicle can be funded by the same applicant at the same address.

In addition, applicants who wish to obtain financial assistance for the rental of charging stations must provide a rental agreement demonstrating that they meet the program’s eligibility requirements and maintain the station in service for at least three years.
